Kate #12, 2002 by Leonard Freed is a black and white photo of a female nude. The vintage 16" x 20" gelatin silver print is signed by the photographer, and stamped vintage on verso (back of photo).
Model Kate remains complicit in striking dramatic poses -- this one, known in yoga, is sun salutation. Yogini Kate transforms the pose into a cosmic dance against an expanse of open terrain, mountains, and clouds. The nude study is both whimsical and aesthetic -- a celebration of femininity, beauty, and freedom.
