Juilliard Building, New York, 2023 by Roberta Fineberg is an 16” x 20" archival pigment print (on baryta paper) in an edition of 5. Signed, dated, and titled by the artist on front and back of the work.

Once a 19th Century warehouse the Juilliard Building in New York City is on a cobblestone street in Tribeca. The Leonard St shop’s dry goods manager and financier Augustus Juilliard and his wife Helen Juilliard who ran the business in lower Manhattan later became the benefactors of the Juilliard School (conservatory).

“Although the warehouse was renovated decades ago the theatrical facade and original cobblestone street reminded me of a movie set. I was immediately drawn to the 19th century vibe and imagined old New York still alive and well, preserved, in a 21st century modern metropolis.” ~Roberta Fineberg
