Red Lightning, 2018 by Japanese woman artist Yukari Edamitsu is a 40" x 30" oil painting on canvas. Yukari's abstract paintings concern themselves with primarily the inner world while the work Red Lightning also addresses the themes of nature and timelessness: "The sun, the moon and stars as well as basic human emotions have largely stayed unchanged since the beginning of human existence. Although the modern urban landscape constantly changes, the laws governing the cosmic order, the transformation of light and color, has not." Yukari's paintings remain informed and inspired by bold colors, shapes, and patterns.

Artist's signature on verso (back of painting).

Provenance: Edamitsu Studio
