Leonard Freed's Kate #17, sized 13" x 19," is an estate signed (by Brigitte Freed) and stamped digital print, from the Kate series, 2002. The image features model Kate and friend of Freed. A photographer herself, Kate remains complicit in striking dramatic poses for the photographer. In this image Kate is provocative with another female against a gritty and comedic NYC graffiti backdrop - in the background a cartoonish character's eye is literally popping out of his head. A photograph both whimsical and aesthetic, Freed captures the playfulness and sensuality of two self-possessed young women.
