Sheltering in place in 2020 with the soul of New York City laid bare, birds sang louder outside city dwellers’ windows. Sunlight illuminated the empty streets. Nature abound in the city, formerly bustling. Looking within during an unusual springtime during the pandemic in New York, the artist Roberta Fineberg’s attention and equilibrium remained anchored on an anthropomorphic cloud.
